Open Your Heart

Love was learned in quiet rooms,
Grades and goals, they took my youth.
Every win felt hollow, every fall felt proof
That I was chasing all the wrong truths.

So I built my life on lines and marks,
Lost the spark inside the dark.
But you came through the cracks,
And lit the map I’d torn apart.

When I’m scared of what I feel,
You remind me love is real.
No more hiding behind plans,
You’re the truth my heart understands.

So I’ll open my heart,
Like a door left wide,
Let the rain and the sun collide.
For too long I’ve been un-opened,
Now the light gets in.
And if I break, then break again
At least I’m living.
